Application for support for preparatory training under the age of 21 years
This applies to those who will turn 20 years of age or less during the calendar year in which the academic year commences. This also applies to primary and secondary education with statutory rights as a young person.
Use the regular application form
You will use the same application form as those applying for grants for upper secondary education. There is no separate application form for preparatory training or primary and secondary education.
This application form must also be used to apply for refugee grants.
Consent
In the application, you are asked to consent that we retrieve information from Vigo. If you consent, we will retrieve information about which school you are enrolled in and which education programme you will be taking. If you do not consent, you must select the education programme and school from a list.
Documentation if you are a refugee
Are you receiving introduction benefit during the period for which you are applying for support?
If yes, you must submit a copy of the decision from the local authority or the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration (NAV) showing the period during which you will receive introduction benefit
Have you completed an introduction programme?
If yes, you must submit confirmation from the local authority or the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration (NAV) showing the date on which you completed the introduction programme.
Assessment time
You will receive a response or notification of the application’s status within 24 hours.
The application is not available on Dine sider immediately, but if you have received a receipt, we have received your application. You will also find information about the estimated processing time for your application at Dine sider.
Apply for loans and grants
You can now apply for loans and grants for 2024–2025.
The deadline for application is 15 November for the autumn semester, and 15 March for the spring semester.
