This is what you are applying for
Using the application form, you will apply for 20 per cent of your original student loan to be written off, up to a maximum amount of NOK 30,000, i.e. the loan you had when you started making repayments.
Documentation
You need to submit documentation showing that you have been gainfully employed in the region for 12 consecutive months, for example confirmation from your employer or the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration (NAV).
The documentation must be dated.
Documentation can be uploaded when submitting the application.
Processing time
Applications for debt to be written off are processed manually. You therefore need to expect some waiting time before you receive a decision on your application. The processing time is currently 4-6 weeks.
